Lena was a senior at the University of Michigan in the Medieval History Department doing her thesis on the Spanish Inquisition. Through her research, she was contacted by a member of the Society of Leopold. She also established a contact via e-mail with a person who would never identify himself. She tracked him down and found him in Adrian, Michigan.
Talon tried to warn her that the information she was looking for would only get her into trouble, as would her association with the Society of Leopold. She didn't believe him. She should have. She was brutally "kissed" one night on campus by a vampire and lived only because Talon saved her. After her graduation she convinced Talon to hire her. His employer was trying to piece together pages from the Book of Nod. For the next two years she travelled around the world looking for excerpts from this book. During this time, she and Talon had a brief affair. She always thought there was someone else in his life. She was called back to the states and informed that Talon was dead and that the research was being terminated. She received a packet from a Kindred that Talon had been involved with. The packet contained papers that left Lena a vast fortune and ownership over a holding in Austria. Also among these papers were references to a Dr. Valkenburg. She went to him believing he had information about Talon's death. While visiting him, she met a young priest named Jason. They planned to hunt Kindred until Jason convinced Lena it wasn't a good idea. Lena traveled to the Holding and took over management of the estate. Jason followed and took up the duties of the parish priest. Also at the holding was a young Garou named Mikael who was the protector of the village. They fell in love. When Christina arrived at the holding with information about Jason's disappearance and Talon's continued existence, Lena left the holding with her to find them. After an extended search, they ended up in San Francisco where Jason and Talon disappeared into the night. The same mage that abducted Jason came for Lena two years later. He took her to Ramadan where she was held captive in the Brotherhood of Eternal Peace monastery. Jason and Christina found her just as she was giving birth to Mikael's son. They returned to our reality and she was happy to be a bridesmaid in Christina and Jason's wedding. |
