	Edward Dawson – Ventrue Edward Dawson was the illegitimate son of Henry Dawson-Damer, the 3rd Earl of Portarlington in County Laois, Ireland. When his father died in 1889, Edward and his mother were left penniless. When Edward was a young teen, his mother was taken in by a Merchant, who insisted that Edward attend the relatively young University College of Dublin and join his stepfather in his business. In his mid thirties, Edward was traveling in Germany when he came down with an illness that would have killed him had Mallory not embraced him. Knowing that he needed to make a fresh start, he disappeared into the Kindred society in Berlin, letting his mortal family believe he was dead. Edward rode out World War I in Berlin, but after a close friend gave their life to save his during the Second World War he chose to go to the New World. In 1951 he settled in Montreal and began building a new life for himself. Edward has been at odds with Carmella Cain for decades, she hates him with a passion, and he hates her right back. She uses the resources of the clan against him when she can get away with it, and he uses what little influence he has over Demitrius to hurt her financially. About twenty years ago Edward became aware of a group that was determined to cause strife in the city. He works to undermine their plans, but at times that forces him to do things that have negative impact on the city, humans, or other supernatural groups in the area. As a result, others around him never know what to expect. He tends to do things that can be seen as evil, but turn out to be for the greater good. Embraced: 1902 Sire: Mallory (Berlin)
